Step by step
Tips for a neat result
- On evenweave stitched over two threads there is already a hole in the centre, which makes quarter stitches much easier.
Common mistakes and fixes
The stitch looks too long or off-centre
The needle went down away from the middle. Unpick and aim for the centre of the block.
Check your result
- The stitch runs from the corner and stops at the centre of the square.
Practice exerciseStitch one quarter stitch from each of the four corners of four neighbouring squares.
