Common mistakes and fixes
The two layers end up different lengths.
The top layer moved forward faster. Pin more often and guide lightly.
The seam is wavy.
The fabric was stretched while sewing. Let the feed dogs pull it.
The seam opens when pulled.
No locking stitches or stitches too long. Lock the ends and use 2.5 mm.

- The pressed seam lies flat with no pleats.
